Salary: £13.84 per hour
Hours: 20 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 1:00pm
Contract: Permanent
Our client, a welcoming and well-established nursery in Enfield, is looking for a passionate and reliable Nursery Chef to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing fresh, nutritious meals and wants to make a positive impact on children’s health and wellbeing. You will play an important role in providing healthy, balanced meals in a safe, clean, and friendly nursery environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals and snacks for children
Cater for allergies, dietary requirements, and cultural needs
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety
Complete food safety records, cleaning schedules, and kitchen checks
Manage stock levels, food ordering, and minimise food waste
Follow food safety regulations, COSHH procedures, and nursery policies
Ensure children receive healthy meals that support their growth and development
Requirements:
Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
Good knowledge of food hygiene, allergies, and dietary requirements
Understanding of COSHH regulations
Experience managing food stock and budgets
Good communication skills and a positive attitude
Experience working in a nursery, school, or childcare setting is desirable
