Are you a qualified Nursery Practitioner looking for flexible temporary work in a beautiful Early Years setting in Charlbury?
A welcoming nursery based in a beautifully restored historic railway station is seeking a Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join their team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who enjoys variety, flexibility, and working within different nursery environments while still making a real impact in children’s early development.
This temporary role is ideal for practitioners who want flexible hours, additional income, or experience across a highly regarded nursery setting in Oxfordshire.
About the Role
As a Temporary Nursery Practitioner, you will support the nursery team in delivering high-quality Early Years care and education, helping children learn, develop and thrive through play-based learning.
Your duties will include:
Supporting children with daily routines and structured activities
Encouraging learning through play, exploration and creativity
Helping to create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment
Supporting children’s social, emotional and physical development
Working closely with permanent staff to maintain consistent care
Following EYFS guidelines and safeguarding procedures at all times
Adapting quickly to the nursery’s routines and environment
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this temporary Nursery Practitioner role, you will need:
A Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting
A caring, reliable and professional attitude
Strong teamwork and communication skills
A flexible approach to temporary assignments
A genuine passion for Early Years education
