Care Assistant – Merthyr Tydfil
£14.40 – £15.00 per hour
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Care Assistants to join our expanding agency team in Merthyr Tydfil. This is an excellent opportunity for dedicated care professionals looking for flexible agency work across a range of settings, including care homes, nursing homes, and supported living services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support to service users
- Assist with moving and handling tasks in accordance with individual care plans and health and safety regulations
- Administer medication safely and in line with company policies and procedures
- Support residents with daily living activities, including personal care, dressing, feeding, and mobility
- Monitor and record residents’ wellbeing, reporting any changes or concerns promptly
- Promote independence, dignity, privacy, and respect at all times
- Work effectively as part of a team while following care plans and best practice guidelines
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 months’ UK-based care experience
- Previous experience with moving and handling
- A caring, dependable, and professional attitude
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A genuine passion for delivering high-quality care
