Domiciliary Care Worker
Monmouthshire
£14.50–£15 per hour (includes paid travel between client visits)
We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to join our agency team in Monmouthshire. This rewarding role involves supporting adults in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life while providing person-centred care tailored to their individual needs.
As an agency worker, you’ll benefit from flexible shifts, allowing you to work around your availability while making a meaningful difference in your local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel safely between clients’ homes (paid travel time included).
- Provide high-quality personal care and support with daily living activities.
- Assist with moving and handling, including the safe use of equipment such as hoists.
- Administer medication where appropriately trained and authorised.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, helping to reduce loneliness and promote wellbeing.
- Encourage and support clients to remain as independent as possible while respecting their choices and dignity.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 months’ UK care or support work experience.
- Experience with moving and handling, including the safe use of hoists and other mobility equipment.
- A caring, compassionate, and dependable approach to supporting others.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts based on service requirements.
- An Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is preferred.
- Registration with Social Care Wales (SCW) is required.
