Care Assistant – Newport
£14.40 – £15.00 per hour
We are currently recruiting experienced Care Assistants to join our growing agency team in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity for compassionate, dedicated individuals seeking flexible work across care homes, nursing homes, and supported living settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality personal care and support to service users.
- Assist with moving and handling in accordance with care plans and health and safety procedures.
- Administer medication safely and in line with policies and procedures.
- Support residents with daily living activities, including washing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Monitor and record residents’ wellbeing, reporting any concerns to the appropriate person.
- Promote independence, dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and follow individual care plans.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months’ UK-based care experience.
- Previous experience with moving and handling.
- A caring, reliable, and professional approach to work.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals.
