Childcare Practitioner, Surrey, Up to £18 per hour

Role Overview

Great childcare starts with people who genuinely enjoy making a difference to a child’s day.

We’re looking for Childcare Practitioners to join our temporary childcare team across Surrey, with flexible full-time and part-time opportunities available in a variety of nursery and early years settings.

Whether you’re looking for regular temporary childcare work or greater flexibility around family life, study or other commitments, these opportunities give you the freedom to find work that fits around you.

No two days in childcare are quite the same. One day you might be helping children discover something new through messy play, stories or outdoor activities; another could be spent encouraging a child to develop their confidence, independence and friendships.

Most importantly, you’ll be part of a team creating a warm, positive and engaging environment where babies, toddlers and pre-school children can feel comfortable, supported and ready to explore.

Depending on the childcare setting, your role may involve:

Supporting children through play, activities and everyday nursery routines
Helping to create imaginative and engaging experiences for children under five
Encouraging communication, confidence, independence and positive relationships
Joining in with creative activities, stories, games and outdoor play
Providing caring and attentive support throughout the nursery day
Helping children feel settled, included and valued
Supporting mealtimes and other daily routines
Working alongside nursery practitioners and other early years professionals
Helping maintain an organised, welcoming and stimulating environment
Bringing energy, patience and a positive attitude to each childcare setting
Temporary childcare work can also be a great way to experience different nurseries, meet new teams and broaden your experience while retaining greater control over your working life.
