Occupational Therapist Band 6 -

Salary: £22,000.00 - £28,000.00 per annum

A specialist independent school dealing with autism are looking for a Band 6HCPC Registered part time Occupational Therapist to join their team.You must also hols extra qualifications in sensory integration. Its a 2 day per week position working within a great team, Pay to scale.

You will work alongside the speech therapist, mental health team and school nurse to undertake assesments and complete annual reviews.

Devise a timetable of therapy ensuring the academic needs of the students are balanced with the therapy needsbPlan and deliver therapeutic interventions for students at the school, in line with statutory requirements of EHCPs. Set targets, plan sessions, track progress and keep records in line HCPC professional standards.

Work collaboratively with education and boarding staff through liaison meetings such as class team meetings or key stage meetings in order to share targets and strategies to support the communication skills of students.

Provide written programmes to be delivered by education and/or boarding staff which will be evaluated termly through liaison and will include targets to develop specific communication skills.Provide written strategies for staff and/or parents to support particular areas of need.

Provide regular training to all school staff including involvement in induction of new staff. Advise on environmental factors which may impact on access to and progress in the curriculum. Provide the Head of School with caseload data in a timely manner.
