Senior Residential Childcare Worker - Hungerford

Salary: £24,000.00 - £26,000.00 per annum

A position has become available to work as a Senior Childerns Worker for a Therapeutic Children's Home. You will be working in a Ofsted ‘good’ registered independent children’s home offering residential care for children & young people between the ages of 7 – 17, with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The 5 bedded home is located in a rural, private estate and offers a therapeutic model of care to the children, which is designed to provide an enriching and positive environment. The home is supported by a specialist independent Ofsted registered school that provides our residents a broad, balance and differentiated curriculum to support their personal and academic needs.

As a Senior you will supervise and motivate a team of Support Workers, whilst also completing a hands on role to ensure the highest quality of care and support is offered to Residents. You will implement and monitor the care and education plans in accordance with the individual needs of our children and young people to ensure that key life and independent skills are achieved in an enriching and positive environment. Senior experience in a residential setting is therefore a requirement for the role, an ideal candidate will have at least a years’ professional history in a similar post.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who holds the required experience and is looking for a new opportunity. This role is offered on a full-time basis, shifts patterns may include sleep in and some on call duties.

It would be preferable to have Level 3 qualified within Residential Childcare and have suitable senior experience, a driving license is also essential for this role as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The role includes managing the team ensuring the highest standards of care, taking responsibility for the wellbeing of the children in the home and ensuring the a service operates to best practice.
