We are currently recruiting for a day staff for an amazing therapeutic childrens home in Thatcham !

We have a great opportunity for experienced Residential Childrens Worker who can work long days 10.00-22.00. This role would be working in a beautiful home in the Thatcham area, working with a great team of professionals. This home supports up to 4 vulnerable young people who are all managing social and emotional behavioural issues.

The main duties for this role will be to provide a positive role model for the young people, to give support and advice, to help the young people manage their emotions and behaviours, to ensure the safety of the young people as well as assisting with daily activities, trips and educational work.

With this Residential Childrens Worker role we would expect staff to be strong and resilient in regards to dealing with challenging behaviour, but to also be able to provide calm and comforting support. We are looking for candidates who have experience working with challenging behaviour, experience working with young people from a social care background or candidates who have experience working within a mental health setting.
