We are looking to add a passionate individual as a Children's Support Worker to our team in Newport.

Some of the children you may be supporting will include those with complex needs such as learning difficulties, traumatic pasts, challenging behaviours and mental health issues. This is a role in which you really have an opportunity to make a difference and dramatically improve the quality of life for children and young people.

In return for your hard work, we can offer some fantastic rates of pay, up to £15 an hour.

We are looking for a bright, passionate and patient support worker to help us, with some of the main duties including:

• To listen, and understand the children on a one-to-one and group basis.
• To be able to respond appropriately to individual needs.
• Help implement individual programmes through supporting learning.
• Supporting morning and evening routines.
• Maintaining the safeguarding of children.

What we are looking for:

• Someone who is passionate about helping others.
• A patient person, who can stay calm and focused under pressure.
• Someone ideally with training e.g. safeguarding, food hygiene and health and safety, however we can provide FREE refresher training.
• Someone with a care background.
