Support Worker – Rhondda Cynon Taf
£14.50 – £15.25 per hour

Are you a compassionate, reliable individual who is passionate about supporting others and making a positive impact? We are recruiting dedicated Agency Support Workers to join our growing team across Rhondda Cynon Taf and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity to work flexible shifts while supporting individuals in a variety of care and support settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred support with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support, helping to promote wellbeing and reduce social isolation.
  • Encourage and support individuals to maintain their independence and participate in community activities, appointments, and social opportunities.
  • Assist with mobility and Moving & Handling tasks safely and in accordance with care plans and best practice guidelines.
  • Support individuals who may present with challenging behaviours, responding professionally and positively to maintain a safe environment.
  • Empower service users to achieve their personal goals, maximise their independence, and enhance their quality of life.
  • Maintain accurate records and report any concerns regarding the health, wellbeing, or safety of service users.
  • Work effectively as part of a team while following care and support plans.

Skills & Experience Required

  • A minimum of 6 months’ UK-based experience as a Support Worker.
  • Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviour, or the confidence and ability to work within these environments.
  • A caring, empathetic, and person-centred approach to supporting others.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a willingness to work across different shifts and locations.
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative when responding to service users’ needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
