Nursery Practitioner – Cwmbran
£15.75 per hour
Role Overview
We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our agency team, supporting a well-established nursery in the Cwmbran area.
This role is ideal for a qualified early years professional who is passionate about helping children learn and develop in a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.
- Create and maintain a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment where children feel supported to learn, play, and thrive.
- Assist with daily nursery routines, including mealtimes, outdoor play, personal care, and rest periods, ensuring each child’s individual needs are met.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and a collaborative approach.
- Encourage children’s confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing through nurturing care and meaningful interactions.
- Follow safeguarding procedures at all times, ensuring the welfare and safety of every child remains the highest priority.
- Adhere to nursery policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines, maintaining high standards of professional practice.
Skills & Experience
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (such as a Diploma in Childcare and Education or equivalent).
- A minimum of 6 months’ UK experience working in an early years setting.
- A good understanding of the EYFS framework and how to apply it in practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
- A caring, reliable, and proactive approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
